What I’m Wearing:
Sweater: J.Crew Factory, old (similar) / Pants: J.Crew
Shoes: J.Crew Factory, sold out (similar) / Purse: J.Crew, old (similar)
In case you were wondering what my “running errands when it’s not horribly hot and humid outside” outfit looks like, now you know: it’s the outfit above.
When I’m out running errands, there’s nothing I love more than throwing on a soft, comfy sweater, slipping on some flats, and grabbing a large tote into which I can throw my purchases. Comfort and practicality are key.
None of this running-errands-in-heels business. No thank you!
In the summer, nothing is better for carrying literally all of your worldly possessions than a straw tote. Seriously, you don’t even know how many things I can stuff into the one photographed above – my iPad, my iPhone, my wallet, my sunglasses (and case), chapstick, lipstick, a powder compact, my computer, and a beach towel all fit comfortably inside! I told you that you don’t even know.
My bag above is old and long gone from the store shelves, but I really love some of the options out there today. This one from H&M is $15 and so ready for the farmer’s market; this metallic one from Saks Off Fifth ($29.99) is so pretty it almost needs its own table for brunch in East Hampton; I’m totally digging this striped tote from the Gap ($35) as well as this super-fun tasseled number ($260). Perfect for schlepping all of your summertime needs!
On a completely different note, I referenced Lord of the Rings / Hobbit mealtimes during a date last night. Andddd I will be single for forever. So that’s good.
