What I’m Wearing:

Dress: Derhy, sold out (similar, similar) / Heels: J.Crew, old (similar) / Clutch: J.Crew, old (similar)
Sparkly Cuff: J.Crew, sold out / Sparkly Bracelet: J.Crew / Earrings: foreign find (similar)

Remember when I told the story a few weeks ago of how I got trapped in the rain in a shopping district in Paris (hah, “trapped” while shopping in Paris) and then I made a mad dash to the subway and ended up getting sick for two weeks? Well, this dress is what I was buying on said shopping excursion.

Totally worth the misery that followed.

Shopping with me is – I’m sure – a truly unique experience. While shopping, I randomly volley back and forth between wanting to try on literally every single thing in the store (usually this happens in J.Crew) and being a woman on a mission, not stopping for anything until she finds “the one”. When I found this dress, I was in the latter mindset. I found this dress – with its fit and flare cut, cute blue and white pattern, and gorgeous beading at the neckline – and I was like DONE.

Yesterday afternoon, Eureka! Uptown hosted a fabulous lil’ get together for me and my friends. The wine was flowing and I’m pretty sure I tried every appetizer and dessert on their menu (my two favorite parts of any┬ámeal). I’m in carbo-load heaven. Still. Be sure to check out my snaps from the event on my Instagram (@glitterandspiceblog) and my Snapchat (@akkushner).
