I’m so excited. So so excited. I’m jetting off to Colorado tomorrow for almost over ten days of relaxation, family time, puppy kisses, and gorgeous views. This trip comes at the perfect time as Dallas is freaking hot at the moment – an escape to cooler temperatures is absolutely necessary.

How cool? Highs in the 70s, lows in the 40s. That’s what I’m talkin’ about, Willis. (PS for all my readers who don’t “get” Fahrenheit, that means highs in the low/mid-20s and lows right around 10°C. Yeah, that’s heaven!)

My family has a home atop a mountain near Vail, Colorado – it is heaven-level peaceful. In any season. And it also just so happens to be my go-to location in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Seriously.

And yes, I do have a zombie apocalypse plan. But don’t we all?

(If not, you should definitely come up with one. You know, just in case. If you’re particularly good at foraging, archery, shooting, or sword-fighting, you may submit applications to be allowed to join my escape troop.)

As it will be fairly chilly in Vail, get excited for tons of actual fall outfits coming to a blog near you very soon. I’m definitely planning on bringing a bunch of sweaters, my favorite vest, and perhaps even a well-worn pair of cowboy boots. Or two. Because duh.
