What to Wear in NYC this Fall (a Colorful Look!)

What to wear in NYC this fall - blogger styles colorful outfit perfect for early fall in NYC

I recently returned from a trip to NYC. I haven’t really talked about this much on the blog, but I actually lived in NYC for a few months the summer after my Junior year in college. My whole life, I’ve spent time in “the city” – I have family nearby and my parents loved to take us to the theater in NYC a few times per year. But as somebody who likes to dress pretty colorfully, what the heck should you pack to wear in NYC?!?!

If that’s a question you often ask yourself, keep reading!

This look seem familiar? I featured a similar look a few weeks back… but then I thought, hey, there’s something missing… something autumnal. So I reworked things and brought this look into October.

“Welcome, look.” – October

I spent most of yesterday curled up on the couch. I woke up feeling sick as a dog with a headache sent straight from hell. The worst. A few Advils, two DayQuils, and a postponed-date-so-I-could-take-a-pre-sleep-nap later, I feel much, much better. My skin is back to its normal shade of crazy-pale (instead of the actually-white-as-a-sheet color I get when I’m sick). Exciting.

Hope y’all are staying healthy and enjoying these October temperatures! Woohoo!

Speaking of October temperatures, when I was in NYC, it was super chilly! It might not look it in the photos above, but it got as low as 40F a few of the days of my trip. That made figuring out what to wear on my trip to NYC a bit difficult… but I packed in layers and ended up having a great time!
