Today, I’ve teamed up with ShopStyle for their Bloggers Give Campaign with Dress for SuccessDress for Success is an international non-profit organization empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive both personally and professionally. As part of the campaign, ShopStyle posed the question: what is your “power outfit” and why?

Well, ladies and gents, this is my power outfit. Sure, it’s not your traditional [horrid] Hillary-style pantsuit, but this is the casual look that makes me feel confident. Blue, green, and mint have always been my confidence colors. I know that they bring out my eyes, no matter the shade, and I find myself gravitating towards these looks time and time again. All of my work suits? Blue, green, or mint. All of my gowns (the ones I actually own, at least) are these colors too.

Of course, it helps to have an awesome team behind you. Family first and foremost, coworkers and friends upon whom you can depend, and a group of besties to whom you can go to kvetch, celebrate, or even brainstorm professional ideas.

But not all women have this support group behind them, which is where Dress for Success comes in. For December 8th and 9th (aka today and tomorrow), I will be contributing 10% of sales from Glitter & Spice to Dress for Success… and ShopStyle will match 100% of my contribution. So get shopping, y’all!
