One of my favorite areas to hang out is Henderson Ave. Fabulous restaurants like Sissy’s and Victor Tangos line its streets alongside cute little boutiques, coffee shops, and bars. Henderson Ave is one of the coolest areas of Dallas and definitely one to watch for the years to come.
It’s a pretty casual part of the city, so whenever I go on an adventure to that part of town, I always make sure to break out the jeans and boots. Henderson Ave is the perfect place to Sunday Funday… or to do a Saturday date night for those of y’all who have somebody with whom you can go on date nights.
Ahem… not me.

Now, to take a total and complete detour, a summary of my weekend: I went down to Austin with one of my dearest friends for the Austin Opera‘s Annual Fine Wine Dinner & Gala. I wore a dress that made me look/feel like a princess and it was wonderful (photos to come next week!). I shopped on 2nd Street (and went back for round two), dined at La Condesa (their fish tacos were the bomb dot com!), went to my favorite restaurant in all of Austin (Clay Pit – duh!), and even hung out with some of my dearest friends on the East Side.
This week, I’m off to San Diego for work. I’m so excited to go as I have a ton of friends in the area who I haven’t seen in ages and I haven’t been to San Diego since I was like… a middle schooler. Any recommendations on things to do or places to eat?? Let me know in the comments below!
