Well, hello sunshine!!!!
The moment I saw this BB Dakota yellow lace top, I was like oh hells yes. It’s just so happy and lightweight and summery and just all around perfect for funtivities.
Yellow lace and a navy bow… why didn’t I think of this combination sooner?!?!
What I’m Wearing:
Top: BB Dakota (also available via Rent the Runway) / Skirt: Club Monaco / Shoes: J.Crew Factory
Clutch: Clare V / Hat: Tuckernuck / Necklace: J.Crew Factory / Ring: BaubleBar / Nail Polish: Ciaté
So fun fact, it was actually raining when Lauren and I took these pictures. We had just finished grabbing almond milk chai lattes from Royal Blue Grocery in Highland Park Village and decided to take some photos. The moment we started snapping these shots, the skies opened up and we had to duck into this little covered stairway to shelter ourselves from the downpour. Never ones to waste a good outfit / background, we decided to just roll with it and continue shooting.
Oh, this blogger life.
And now back to this outfit.
Things to know:
- I actually scored this yellow lace top via Rent the Runway (only $30 to rent) but it’s also available to purchase for only $72. It’s a pullover shell (no zipper) and, though I’m wearing the medium in the photos above, quite honestly, I could’ve (and should’ve!) ordered the small.
- The skirt (previously seen here and here) is one of my favorite scores from Club Monaco this season. I’m wearing the size 8. Oh AND it’s currently on sale!
- This hat is obviously one of my favorite possessions (I seem to wear it all the time!) – it’s from Tuckernuck, is only $60, and packs completely flat, making it perfect for your upcoming vacations. I will definitely be bringing it with me when I travel to New Orleans next weekend and then to California and The Hamptons later this month!
Speaking of New Orleans, this will be my first time ever going to NOLA. I’m going for my best friend’s bachelorette party and I am just so stinking excited!! I actually nabbed this dress from Rent the Runway to wear out with the girlies one night. I can’t wait to tour around the city, eat delicious beignets, and get a taste of what NOLA has to offer!
Have you ever been to New Orleans? Any recommendations as to things to do or places to go? Let me know in the comments below!
