Easy Summer Weekend Look

Easy Summer Weekend Outfit

When it comes to my summer weekend outfit choices, I’m all about comfy choices. And keeping it simple. An easy button-down, sleeves rolled up… my comfiest white jeans (I have two pairs of these – they’re so comfy!). Well-worn preppy sandals and a large straw tote – it’s the most summer adventure-ready preppy look.

What I’m Wearing:

Top: J.Crew / Pants: J.Crew / Purse: J.Crew, old (similar) / Shoes: Jack Rogers
Bracelet: Lilly Pulitzer / Ring: BaubleBar / Towels: The Bali Market, c/o
Sunscreen: Supergoop / Facial Mist: Neal’s Yard Remedies, c/o

I probably wear this outfit once a week during the summer. Not even kidding. It’s perfect for trips to the farmers’ market or jaunts around town. It’s even comfy enough to wear on flights (I recommend bringing along this sweater for the plane – it’s so comfy!!). Going into fall, you can add a pair of chic booties (love these – on sale for under $80!) or make it even preppier by adding a blazer and classic loafers.

These photos are from last Monday’s lunch at Trinity Groves (the best place for progressive dinners in Dallas, in my humble opinion!). My friend Lauren and I went for a lazy lunch followed by some pool time – hence why my summer essentials like this sunscreen (they also make a BOMB CC Cream BTW!) and this facial mist (smells so good and it’s perfect for cooling your face on a hot summer day!) are in my tote.

I actually wore this look again (but with cowboy boots!) last Thursday night. In case you missed my Insta about it (and clips on Snapchat), I sang the Star-Spangled Banner at the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo. How’s that for totally random resume fodder? This was my first time performing in front of a crowd in almost 10 years. I must admit that I was super nervous on the drive over. For a hot second, I honestly thought I was going to lose it. Thankfully a) I didn’t lose it and b) it actually went surprisingly well. My only regret is that I didn’t get to stay to see the mutton busting (aka little kiddos riding sheep!) – guess that saves something for next time though!
