Last Thursday night, my friend Amanda threw a lil bash with Cointreau at The Joule Hotel’s rooftop pool. And nothing says “party” like a bell-sleeve top.
Or like sweating through all of your clothes and then proceeding to basically dump an entire serving of spaghetti bolognese all over yourself.
Both of those things may or may not have happened on Thursday night. As in they did. Just to be clear.
What I’m Wearing:
Top: Suno (via Rent the Runway) / Skirt: J.Crew / Purse: Henri Bendel / Shoes: Cole Haan /
Necklace: similar / Earrings: similar / Ring: BaubleBar
So I actually scored this Sumo tunic through my monthly Rent the Runway Unlimited membership. As y’all know (because I’ve talked about it like a zillion times), I love using Rent the Runway to score pieces I couldn’t normally afford… or items I probably wouldn’t wear more than once or twice if I did own them. I’ve been an Unlimited member ever since RTR launched the program, about a year ago. It’s always so fun getting to test out trends, nab clothes to complement my own wardrobe, and even don fabulous frocks for various black tie events.
Best part? When you accidentally douse yourself in bolognese sauce, you don’t even need to worry about dry cleaning – just send the piece back to Rent the Runway, and they take care of it for ya!
Oh BTW, that is exactly what I did with this bell-sleeve top. And double BTW, the lobster bolognese at Bistro 31 in Highland Park Village is out-of-this-world. Just for the official record.
