Isn’t this green bow blouse so sweet? I spotted it in a desperate search for business casual clothes (more on that below) and immediately fell head-over-heels in love.
Y’all know me. I’m a big sucker for bows.

Before I started my MBA (almost a month ago now!), I expected that going back to school would be an adjustment. I anticipated having issues balancing schoolwork and other commitments. Sure, I even had a feeling that I would find the coursework challenging. But one thing I never expected? That I would need an entirely new wardrobe!
At SMU, MBA students are required to dress in business casual during the daytime (except for certain events, which are business professional required). My past two jobs were both in the tech space – very casual. In fact, when I asked for the suggested attire at the office at my first job out of college, my boss told me to “try not to wear workout clothes every day”. Pretty dang casual.
As a human being, I tend to dress more “dressy casual”. Little frocks with cute sandals or jeans with a blouse and heels. So when I found out that I was neither allowed to wear jeans nor sandals to class, I had quite the “oh sh*t” moment.
I had some shopping to do.
So while my bank account rebounds from my issue of having nothing [appropriate] to wear, get excited for a bunch of brand-new looks coming your way over the next few weeks. Woohoo! (That’s me being excited… obviously.)
