Well, hay there, stranger! It’s been a hot minute since you last heard from me. After nearly a month of almost-constant traveling, I’m finally back in Dallas. My last of the four trips was last week at Disney World. Unfortunately, I caught a cold from one of the children aka miniature disease incubators. And now I’m just about dying at my apartment. So if this post makes no sense whatsoever, please blame the anti-cold meds.
But I’m back. And that’s what matters.
To celebrate my return, I thought I’d share one of my favorite purchases from last fall: this burgundy sheath dress. This dress fits like a friggin’ glove, is available in three colors, and is under $70 right now!
I so dig.
What I’m Wearing:
Dress: French Connection (under $100!) / Coat: BCBG, old (similar, similar) / Shoes: Ann Taylor
Purse: ASOS / Earrings: Last Call / Watch: Chaps, c/o / Tiara Ring: BaubleBar / Pearl Ring: BaubleBar
The best part about this burgundy sheath dress is that it totally reminded me of something that Queen Helena on The Royals would wear.
Yes, I watch that show. It is so my guilty pleasure and I highly recommend it if you want a new show that is so low-brow it’s even worse than the Kardashians. But the fashion is fabulous. Particularly Queen Helena’s collection of dresses: they’re always tailored, sheath-style, with a fitted silhouette.
I’m obsessed.
Speaking of the Queen on The Royals, she actually wore these earrings in a recent episode. So basically we’re now twins. And despite the fact that she’s an atrocious character, she dresses fierce AF.
And now I’m going to get back to catching up on all of my guilty-pleasure shows. Because what else does one do when they’re sick?
