The moment I saw this red cocktail dress I was like YAAAS. Between the sculpted neckline and the midi-length, I was totally in love.
See? Apparently I can love inanimate objects and pretty dresses. I guess that doesn’t help my state of perpetual singledom but at least I know I’m capable of the emotion. So that’s refreshing.
What I’m Wearing:
Dress: Nicole Miller (via Rent the Runway) / Purse: YSL (similar, similar, similar)
Shoes: Ann Taylor / Earrings: Kate Spade / Tiara Ring: BaubleBar / Pearl Ring: BaubleBar
I’ve actually never been in a relationship over Valentine’s Day. I came close one time. In seventh grade, I had a “boyfriend”… but I broke up with him the day before Valentine’s Day because I didn’t want to get him a present. Sounds about right. Since then, I’ve had a smattering of relationships… but we’ve always managed to be on a “break” (or have just broken up) around this time of year.
So yeah… single forever. That’s great.
This year, I’m still single, but at least I have a handful of friends who are also single. I might not be planning on wearing a fancy red cocktail dress (though the deep neckline on this one would lure in the menfolk), but I do believe that we’re planning on at least doing something fun. I hope.
Speaking of planning – here’s my exciting announcement: I’m going to be doing my first-ever Instagram LIVE Q&A on Sunday at 4PM CST. Ever had anything you wanted to ask me (about traveling, blogging, fit or style of clothes… or anything else!), now’s the perfect time! Looking forward to speaking with y’all then and answering all of your questions!
