BAM. That’s what I feel like in this dress: like every time I walk into a room, somebody’s there making “BAM” sound effects.
I go to a lot of black tie events. Finding a dress that will top the previous gowns is hard work, y’all. But I truly think that this is it: I’ve finally found the perfect gown for a black tie event. It’s at once both sexy and classy, both exposing and demure. Really everything I want to communicate on a daily basis.
Plus it makes you feel like a princess when you wear it.

What I’m Wearing:
Dress: ML Monique Lhuillier / Earrings: 7 Charming Sisters, c/o / Shoes: Cole Haan
Tiara Ring: BaubleBar / Pearl Ring: BaubleBar
I have an hourglass figure. I don’t say this to brag, but instead to point out how damn near impossible it is to find clothes that both fit properly and are flattering. My bum is ginormous and my boobs seem to have a mind of their own. Which can make low-cut tops and dresses quite interesting.
However, I’m pretty sure that the low neckline of this dress is my favorite part of the gown. This dress was generously cut in the bust, making it ideal for those of us in the higher cup-size region of life. But it also had shorter straps, so the prospect of going braless wasn’t the terrifying concept it usually is. Just throw on some pasties and double-sided tape and enjoy the evening.
Pro tip: keep the shimmying to a minimum so as to not avoid a Janet Jackson-level wardrobe malfunction. Not like I’m talking from personal experience or anything.
