The Best Work-Appropriate Skirts for Under $150

I am all about buying pieces that are stylish and timeless. And that don’t break the bank. That’s a big one.

Over the summer, I bought a lot of work-appropriate skirts for under $150. And then school started back up. And, despite the fact that I’ve repeatedly told y’all that you’re supposed to wear business casual to MBA classes, I’ve been majorly slacking in the wardrobe department. As in miniskirts and a blouse with sandals on a good day. And ripped jeans with a comfy tee and my Soludos (or workout clothes!) the rest of the time.

I’d say A for effort… but that’d be grading on a steep curve.

One  /  Two  /  Three  /  Four  /  Five  /  Six  /  Seven  /  Eight  /  Nine  /  Ten  /  Eleven  /  Twelve

The name of the game this fall is the fun hemline. Lucky for y’all, there are tons of work-appropriate skirts for under $150 which showcase that trend. In capital letters. Right now, I’m digging the faux-wrap (like one, three, and eleven), the actual wrap (like five), and the ruffle hem (like two, six, and eight).

A pencil skirt (with a bow at the waist!) like ten will never go out of style. And neither will a boldly-colored lace pencil skirt like seven. I will forever have a severe weakness for a full a-line skirt like four. As for nine and twelve – a basic mini will go with anything (and looks great with tights and boots!)… plus twelve is just about the softest skirt I’ve ever felt!
